The Delta State Ministry of Science and Technology, today, inaugurated the M.O.R.E ICT-YEP Programme at the Delta State Innovation Hub, Asaba. This programme is a government-backed initiative aimed at equipping youths with essential digital skills. It is also a key component of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, designed to drive youth empowerment through technology and providing participants with new career and economic opportunities.

 

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Odinigwe Daniel, Commissioner for Science and Technology, urged beneficiaries to take full advantage of the programme, emphasizing that the skills acquired would enhance their future prospects. He reemphasized the state government’s commitment to technological advancement and economic growth, positioning Delta as a center for digital innovation.

 

Dr. Odinigwe further disclosed that 300 beneficiaries, drawn from the state’s three senatorial districts and 25 local government areas were selected based on their performance in a competitive examination.
