Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, today, met with stakeholders from the Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities in Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas to address their long-standing land dispute. The meeting which was held at his Osubi residence, was attended by members of the peace committee overseeing the Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh crisis.

 

During the discussions, both parties committed to peaceful coexistence and agreed to uphold mutually accepted settlement terms. Governor Oborevwori commended the youths and elders for their willingness to embrace peace and chart a new course for unity.

 

He assured them that a formal pronouncement on the agreed terms of settlement would be made soon. In response, representatives from both communities expressed gratitude for his intervention and efforts in resolving the prolonged conflict.
