As an administration that recognizes the vital role of midwives in public healthcare, maternal care, and childcare services, today, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori alongside his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori welcomed Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu (CON), First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the Official Presentation Ceremony of 10,000 professional kits (Crocs and Scrubs) for midwives from the South-South Geopolitical Zone at an event which took place at the Dome Event Center, Asaba.
Speaking during the event, Dcns. Tobore Oborevwori extolled Sen. Oluremi Tinubu for her selfless commitment to improving the lives of women and children in the country through the Renewed Hope Initiative. She also emphasized Sen. Oluremi Tinubu’s impactful educational and people-focused initiatives, which have benefited students, elderly citizens, farmers, and women in Delta State.
In addition, Governor Oborevwori expressed appreciation to Sen. Oluremi Tinubu for her compassionate commitment to improving the welfare of midwives, not just in Delta State but across the nation. He emphasized that this critical intervention in healthcare delivery will boost midwives’ morale, enhance their productivity, and elevate their professional image.
