Yesterday, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Major General Paul Ufuoma Omu (Rtd.), who served as the Military Governor of the defunct South Eastern Region from 1975 to 1978.
Governor Sheriff described the late Major General Paul Ufuoma Omu as an extraordinary patriot and statesman whose contributions to nation-building serve as a lasting example, noting that the Isoko community had lost one of its most revered leaders.
He also urged the family of the late Major General Paul Ufuoma Omu to find comfort in the legacy of selfless service left by their late patriarch. He reminded the family that General Omu’s life was one of purpose and impact, and that his memory would forever endure.
