The Forum of Political Leaders of Itsekiri Extraction within the All Progressives Congress has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.
He said the 2027 general election will be an easy sails for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and All Progressives Congress in the region.
The convener of the group Chief AyirimiEmami made the assertion in Warri Delta State on Monday shortly after a “unity meeting” of the group in Delta State.
He described “the outcome of the ‘unity meeting’ as is a thing of joy”.
According to him, “Since the past eleven years or thereabout, we haven’t got the opportunity of coming together like this, eyeball to eyeball, under the same political platform as it affects our ethnic nationality.
“It is a thing of joy that everyone in this Federal Constituency is now within the same APC as a political family. Today, we are all together.
“This simply guarantees that by the grace of God, the next election will be an easy sailing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC in the Federal Constituency.
“We will give all necessary support to our President and our Governor. Politics used to be one of the things pulling us apart before. But Itsekiri is coming up stronger and stronger
“President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori of Delta have been performing well with his Renewed Hope agenda since the past two years and deserve a second term in office to fully execute their programnes”.
They group also acknowledged Oborevwori’s performance in Delta State saying “the Governor has virtually turned Delta into a construction site”.
Dignitaries in attendance at the meeting were scores of old and new APC leaders across Warri Federal Constituency comprising Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas.
They include APC Senatorial chairman, former Minister, Dr. Roland Oritsejafor; the APC leader in the Warri Federal Constituency, Chief AyirimiEmami; the lawmaker representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi and others
The motion for the endorsement was moved by Hon. Daniel OmoyoneMayuku and seconded by Hon. OritsetimeyinOrugbo and was unanimously supported by the political leaders with no dissenting voice.
