Potter's Possible Replacement At Chelsea Revealed

Chelsea FC have confirmed adjustments to two of their September 2025/2026 Premier League fixtures.

Chelsea revealed on Wednesday, July 23, via their official website that two upcoming away games have been rescheduled, with kick-off times adjusted to accommodate broadcast demands.

The West Londoners’ trip to Gtech Community Stadium to face Brentford will still take place on Saturday, 13 September, but now has a later kick-off time of 8 p.m.

The following weekend, Chelsea will face a tougher test against traditional rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford, with the kick-off now set for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 20.

Off the pitch, Chelsea are not slowing down in the transfer market. Renowned transfer journalist Ben Jacobs revealed in a post on 𝕏 that the Blues have rekindled their interest in Ajax centre-back Jorrel Hato.

“Chelsea is still active on Jorrel Hato after opening fresh talks. No bid yet, but one to watch,” Jacobs stated.

Chelsea had previously initiated discussions with the Dutch giants over the 19-year-old, who is regarded as one of the Eredivisie’s most promising defensive talents.

Ajax reportedly value Hato at £60 million, but Chelsea are aiming to negotiate the fee down to around £40 million.

So far, Chelsea’s summer business includes the signing of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens, as coach Enzo Maresca continues to reshape his squad ahead of next season.

Super Eagles Defender Awaziem Returns to Nantes

Chidozie Awaziem

Chidozie Awaziem has sealed a return to FC Nantes in Ligue 1, signing a three-year contract with the French side.

The 27-year-old Nigerian defender makes the move from the Colorado Rapids in the MLS.

Awaziem is no stranger to the Canaries, having spent the 2017/2018 season on loan there, during which he made 23 appearances and scored one goal. Since then, he has featured in leagues across Spain, Turkey, Croatia, and the United States.

The move is seen as a strategic one for Nantes, who are hoping the experienced defender can bring stability to their backline heading into the new season.
