World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame and former world champion, Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71.
The legendary wrestler passed on at his home in Florida on Thursday.
His brand, Hulkamania transferred to the small and big screen, with roles in films such as Rocky III, No Holds Barred and TV’s Baywatch.
He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
This was comfirmed in a post shared via the official Facebook page of WWE on Thursday.
The statement reads: “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.
“One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s.
“WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
Also speaking over the legendary wrestler’s death, U.S President, Donald Trump, in a statement on Thursday, described Hogan as great friend.

He said: “Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way, Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart.
“He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week.
“He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive.”
