The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed the appointments of Manu Garba and Moses Aduku as head coaches of the Golden Eaglets and Falconets, respectively.
Manu Garba’s return to the Golden Eaglets’ dugout was approved by the NFF Executive Committee following a recommendation from its Technical Committee.
The veteran coach is no stranger to success, having led Nigeria’s U-17 side to victory at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2013.
Meanwhile, Moses Aduku steps in to replace Chris Danjuma as head coach of the Super Falconets, Nigeria’s Under-20 women’s national team.
Aduku, who guided Bayelsa Queens to the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) title last season, is widely respected for his tactical intelligence and strong record in developing female talent.
Both coaches are expected to assume duty officially on Sunday, July 27, as their respective teams prepare for key assignments in the coming weeks.
While the federation has yet to release details of their contracts or technical staff, expectations are already high among football enthusiasts who are hopeful that the new appointments will restore Nigeria’s dominance in age-grade football.
Note that Falconets have a 2026 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against Rwanda in September, while the Golden Eaglets will take part in the WAFU B Under-17 Boys Tournament that Nigeria is set to host the same month.
