Nigerian music star Wizkid has set a new record as the first African artist to exceed 9 billion streams on Spotify.

A significant portion of Wizkid’s streaming milestone comes from his hit collaboration with Drake and Kyla, “One Dance,” which has amassed 3.7 billion streams.

The song is not only Wizkid’s biggest hit on the platform but also one of the ten most-streamed tracks in Spotify’s history.

Notably, “One Dance” holds a Guinness World Record as the first single to surpass 1 billion streams on the platform.

Wizkid’s “Essence,” featuring Tems, stands out among his solo works, having surpassed 303 million streams.

Taylor Swift remains the top-streamed artist on Spotify, with her total streams exceeding 1.5 billion.
