Nigeria’s D’Tigress dominated Rwanda 92–45 in their opening Group D game at the FIBA AfroBasket tournament held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire on Saturday.

Five Nigerian players scored in double figures, with Elizabeth Balogun leading the charge with 18 points.

Victoria Macaulay also made a strong return to the squad, contributing 13 points.

D’Tigress will next face Mozambique on Monday, 28 July.

The team is aiming for a fifth straight AfroBasket crown and a seventh overall, with only Senegal ahead of them in the all-time rankings with 11 titles.
