The highly anticipated Soundside Music Festival, originally scheduled for September 27–28 at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut, has been officially canceled.
In a brief message posted on the festival’s website, organizers of Soundside Music Festival stated:
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, Soundside Music Festival has been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded to the original method of payment in as little as 30 days depending on your bank’s processing time.”
No further explanation was provided regarding the cancellation.
The two-day event was set to feature major headliners such as The Killers, Weezer, Hozier, and Vampire Weekend, alongside other notable performers like Djo, Japanese Breakfast, The Backseat Lovers, Remi Wolf, Alex Warren, and The Last Dinner Party.
This marks the second year in a row the Soundside Music Festival has faced disruption.
In 2024, the Foo Fighters abruptly canceled their appearance just days before the event. While no specific reason was given at the time, it followed Dave Grohl’s public announcement that he had welcomed a child outside his marriage—a revelation that drew significant media attention.
In his Instagram post, the 56-year-old rocker expressed regret and said:
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage… I’m doing everything I can to regain my family’s trust and forgiveness.”
With this year’s unexpected cancellation, fans are left disappointed once again, as the festival’s future remains uncertain.
