The new All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, has vowed to take tough decisions.
Yilwatda made the remark while describing his appointment as
National Chairman as “a burden on me.”
He spoke during an appearance on Channels Television’s
Politics Today programme.
Yilwatda was recently appointed as the APC National Chairman
following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down due to ill
health. Ali Bukar Dalori had served as Acting National Chairman until
Yilwatda’s emergence.
Yilwatda pledged to intensify efforts to woo more governors
from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and other opposition parties to the
APC.
“I did not see my appointment as the APC national chairman
coming. It is a burden on me.
“We must ensure that we give Nigerians good governance and
ensure that the party also wins elections,” he said.
