Nollywood actress and businesswoman Bose Alao has been upfront about the unique and difficult path of her marriage, exposing a time when, following a three-year separation, she became her own husband’s “side chick.”
The intricacies and sacrifices she made to save her relationship with Nigerian-Beninese football player Razak Omotoyossi are illuminated by this personal revelation.
The sultry actress described the difficult and unusual road to reconciliation in a recent interview with fellow actress Biola Bayo. She revealed that her spouse had an affair with another lady during the three years they were apart.
The depth of her pain was brought to the forefront by a particularly hurtful incident: “There was a time I called, and the lady [my husband was dating] even called me an old taker. Something that I sacrificed for my marriage.”
Despite the heartbreak, she wasn’t ready to give up. “When someone asked me if I was done with my marriage, I said no. When a woman is done, she’s done, but I wasn’t.”
She clarified that this insult had a profound impact on her, particularly in light of the substantial professional sacrifices she had made for her spouse and family.

“You don’t even truly know who you are until you get into marriage. Maybe you’re thinking I am a very calm person, but marriage can bring out something else in you.
”I will send my nude pictures; he has people who collect such. Send my pictures to them, and then they will give me a designer bag. I will take it to the person, and my money that night will be N700,000.
”My husband and I separated for three good years. I became a side chick to my husband. When someone asked me if I wasn’t done with my marriage, I said no.
”When a woman is done, she is done. I arrested my husband; it wasn’t even me. There was a lady on the street that he was actually dating.
