Arsenal youngster, Max Dowman, produced another sensational cameo as the Gunners beat Newcastle United 3-2 in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.

Dowman had earned rave reviews for his skill, movement and passing when he came off the bench in the 1-0 win over AC Milan.

It was the Magpies who took the lead in Singapore thanks to a scruffed finish from new signing Anthony Elanga.

But the Gunners scored twice in quick succession to take the lead through Mikel Merino’s controlled finish and an Alex Murphy own goal.

Jacob Murphy came off the bench to make it 2-2, before Martin Odegaard converted a penalty after Dowman was fouled in the area.

Arsenal’s next pre-season friendly will be a North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
