The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the appointment of Mallam Jaafaru Sani as its National Vice Chairman for the Northwest region, a move that has sparked significant interest in Nigeria’s political landscape.

Sani, a seasoned politician and grassroots leader from Kaduna State, brings a wealth of experience and a reputation for strategic leadership to the opposition party.

Sani previously served as a commissioner under the administration of former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

Known for his contributions to governance and reforms, Sani was also El-Rufai’s nominee for a ministerial position when the former governor opted out of a federal appointment.

His deep roots in Kubau Local Government and extensive political network have positioned him as a prominent figure in Kaduna’s political scene.

Sani’s educational background includes an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with a focus on Business Administration and Financial Management, equipping him with the expertise to navigate complex political and administrative challenges.

His appointment comes at a time when the ADC is seeking to strengthen its position as a viable alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly in the Northwest, a key political battleground.

In a statement, the ADC expressed confidence in Sani’s ability to drive the party’s agenda, emphasizing his commitment to grassroots mobilization and democratic principles.

The party also called for unity among its members to support the new leadership in advancing its objectives.

As Sani steps into this pivotal role, political analysts are watching closely to see how his leadership will shape the ADC’s strategy ahead of future elections.

His experience under El-Rufai’s administration and his deep ties to Kaduna’s political fabric are expected to play a significant role in galvanizing support for the ADC in the region.
