Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, has captured the hearts of fans after sharing an emotional reaction to a powerful betrayal scene in Kemi Adetiba’s new Netflix series, To Kill a Monkey.

“This Scene Broke Me” — Queen Atang

Captioning her post, Queen opened up about how the scene deeply resonated with her personal experiences of betrayal and emotional hurt.

“Stop judging people who get upset and vent right away, they’re often the realest and kindest at heart. They express their pain in the moment… I speak from deep experience 💯,” she wrote.

She further explained how the gut-wrenching scene reminded her of moments in her own life when she stood up for people she loved, only to be let down.

“He was still holding on to his charm, trying to protect them both… until he realized his own brother had betrayed him,” she wrote through tears.

Queen admitted she cried herself to sleep after watching the episode and would not be getting over the emotional rollercoaster anytime soon.

“If you ever betray me… I will vent. I will react. I will fight in my own way. But once it’s out of my system, it ends there,” she concluded.
