Joan Laporta, Barcelona president, has named Inter Miami forward, Lionel Messi as the best football player.
He explained that Messi, a former Barcelona forward and captain, has done everything in football.
The 63-year-old also singled out the Barcelona trio of Pedri, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal as the most talented footballers in the world at the moment.
“Messi did everything. For me, he’s the best player in history. But the world goes on,” Laporta said (via The Touchline).
“But the new geniuses of this generation are players like Lamine Yamal, Pedri or Raphinha. The most talented players in the world of football,” he said.
Messi, 38, is the most decorated footballer on earth and has won over 40 trophies including the FIFA World Cup.
The Argentina international has played for Barcelona and also Paris Saint-Germain in the past.
