Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, is reportedly angry and disappointed with the club after they rejected Inter Milan’s latest bid for his transfer.

According to reports, Inter Milan have submitted multiple offers, the latest being €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons, all of which have been turned down by Atalanta.

Lookman, who is keen on making the switch to the Nerazzurri, is said to feel betrayed after what was believed to be a “gentleman’s agreement” with Atalanta that he would be allowed to leave if a good offer came in. That promise reportedly influenced his decision to stay during the January 2025 transfer window.

Buchi Laba, a Nigerian broadcast journalist, confirmed via X:

“I hear Ademola Lookman is disappointed and very angry at Atalanta for refusing Inter Milan latest offer.
There was a gentleman agreement that if a good offer comes in they will accept. That’s why he didn’t leave in January 2025.
He wants Inter Milan and has rejected other offers.”

Atalanta are said to be holding out for at least €50 million upfront plus add-ons.

Lookman had a standout 2024/25 season and is believed to view Inter Milan as the right next step in his career. However, unless Atalanta lower their demands or Inter improves their bid, the transfer saga may drag on.
