Ex-Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has accused the APC of deepening Nigeria’s hardship with false promises and failed policies.
Speaking on Channels TV on Friday, Melaye alleged the APC-led government is deceiving Nigerians while causing poverty, hunger, and insecurity.
“They are speaking in tongues. And what are they telling you? That they are taking tough decisions.
“They are telling you that we are putting Nigerians on a top off,” he said.
Melaye likened the APC government to a vehicle driven without direction or control.
“When you have a roadmap and a GPRS, you are likely to get to your destination.
“But APC and this government is a car being driven by a drunken driver.
“The possibility of getting to your destination is not there,” he stated.
He criticised the government’s introduction of two national anthems and the coexistence of different versions of naira notes, describing the situation as chaotic.
“In a country where you have two national anthems… where you have two types of 1,000 Naira notes, two of 500, two of 200, and two of 100 it doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world,” he said.
According to Dino Melaye, this confusion has led to the widespread circulation of fake currency, worsening Nigeria’s economic crisis.
“We are in an outrageously calamitous situation,” he declared.
