Award-winning Nigerian rapper Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has revealed a surprising change in his eating habits, stating that he no longer eats Amala or other heavy local meals.

The YBNL boss made this revelation during a candid interview with YouTuber Korty EO, which aired on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

“I’m not a big fan of food. I eat veggies. But I can kill for broccoli,” Olamide said.

The iconic rapper, known for his street credibility and consistent chart-topping hits, explained that he now prefers lighter and healthier meals, including broccoli, sea bass, lamb chops, and caviar, rather than traditional Nigerian dishes.

According to him, his decision to cut back on local delicacies like Amala was influenced by how they made him feel after eating.

“I don’t eat Amala, it makes me full,” he added, noting that heavy meals often leave him feeling bloated and tired.

Olamide’s Lifestyle Evolution

The revelation highlights a shift in Olamide’s personal lifestyle, as the rapper appears to be focusing more on health-conscious eating—a trend many celebrities have embraced as part of maintaining physical and mental wellness.

Despite being one of Nigeria’s most celebrated indigenous rappers, Olamide’s openness about switching from local to global cuisine gives fans a rare glimpse into his evolving lifestyle behind the scenes.
