2027: 'APC Already Acting Like They Are The Opposition' - ADC Mocks Ruling Party

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has cautioned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop using personal attacks as a diversion from what it described as the failures of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

It stated that the supposed ruling party, which has control of both chambers of the National Assembly and commands the vast resources of the Nigerian State, is behaving as though it were the opposition party.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC said the APC continues to operate like an opposition party despite holding the presidency and controlling both chambers of the National Assembly.

“It is unfortunate that a party that held the presidency, controlled both chambers of the National Assembly, and commanded the vast resources of the Nigerian state still behaves as if it was in opposition,” Abdullahi said.

“The APC must know that it has a responsibility to answer to the people of Nigeria,” the ADC added.

“Nigerians still grapple with insecurity, economic collapse, and national disunity, yet the ruling party has offered no meaningful explanation.”

Naija News reports that the ADC accused the APC of engaging in a petty tirade against its leaders, particularly former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

“The APC has chosen distraction over substance, insults over introspection, and propaganda over performance. But we must remind them that while words can be manipulated, the facts on the ground cannot,” Abdullahi said.

The opposition party insisted that Nigerians are seeking solutions to hunger, joblessness, and growing despair, not political bickering.
