Making a return to the African Nations Championship (CHAN), the Super Eagles could not make it a bright start to the campaign as they lost to Senegal on Tuesday night.
The CHAN is a competition strictly designed for players plying their trade on the continent.
The home-based Super Eagles team, led by coach Eric Chelle, were beaten 1-0 by defending champions Senegal.

Losinb the Group D match played in Tanzania sees Nigeria stay at the bottom of the group as other group teams, Congo and Sudan played 1-1 earlier.
Having played gaolless for most part of the match, a defensive error in the Super Eagles B backline was punished by the Senegalese with 15 minutes left to play.
Gomis’ 75th-minute goal was enough to hand Senegal all three points from the game.
The Eagles, who have missed the last two editions of the tournament, will look to bounce back when they face Sudan in their second group match next Tuesday.
