Vice President Kashim Shettima announced the disbursement of N250,000 unconditional grants to exceptional small business owners in Ondo State during the launch of the 7th edition of the Expanded National MSMEs Clinics in Akure.
The initiative is part of the Federal Government’s commitment to bolstering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) nationwide.
Speaking at the event, Shettima emphasized President Tinubu’s dedication to supporting grassroots enterprises, stating, “Every outstanding exhibiting MSME identified during this clinic will receive an unconditional grant of N250,000.
This is not a loan—it is a gift from the Nigerian people to the champions of local industry, acknowledging their value and potential.
”He described MSMEs as the “silent architects of survival, the lifelines of households, and the pulse of every community,” underscoring their critical role in Nigeria’s economic prosperity.
Shettima highlighted that the Renewed Hope Agenda prioritizes creating an enabling environment for small businesses, calling it a “covenant with the builders of our future.”
The grants aim to empower local entrepreneurs, boost economic growth, and foster sustainable development in Ondo State and beyond.
