Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, has received National and West Africa Accreditation for Surgery and other courses. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme disclosed this while speaking to journalists at the Government House, Asaba, on the outcome of the meeting between Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and officials of the teaching hospital and the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA.
Mr. Onojaeme further stated that the team was on a visit to appreciate the state government for the support and resources it has provided the teaching hospital while reemphasizing that actionable plans were being made to get accreditation for other departments like Internal Medicine, Radiology, Community Medicine, etc.
