Governor Sheriff Oborevwori joined the Board, Management, and Staff of The Pointer Newspaper in celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the state-owned publication, at a ceremony held at the Grand Hotel, Asaba. In recognition of its contributions to the public, Pointer has become a trusted platform for information across Delta State, providing reliable news to its readers.
During the event, Governor Oborevwori received an Award of Excellence in recognition of his dedicated leadership and service to Delta State. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation for the honour and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to transparency. He also encouraged journalists to uphold standards of accuracy, fairness, and professionalism, emphasising the importance of quality journalism for the public good.
