NBA YoungBoy has stirred controversy with lyrics endorsing Donald Trump on his newly released track “XXX,” featured on his latest album Make America Slime America. In the song, the rapper declares, “Whatever Trump doin’, b*tch it’s good for the youngins (All Hail Trump),” prompting a wave of mixed reactions from fans online.

Some listeners criticized the statement, with one writing, “That’s it, I will no longer be listening to any YB music.” Others, however, defended him by pointing to Trump’s previous pardon of the rapper. “Trump pardoned him—why wouldn’t he say this?” one fan argued. Another speculated that YoungBoy may have felt obligated: “Let’s give YB a pass. I think he had to do this because of the pardon… maybe that’s why it sounds so bad—he doesn’t want us to actually listen.”

Meanwhile, Trump himself has been facing backlash from some of his supporters due to a Wall Street Journal report alleging that Attorney General Pam Bondi informed him his name appeared in documents tied to the Jeffrey Epstein case earlier this year.

Make America Slime America, which dropped on Friday, is NBA YoungBoy’s first major release since receiving a presidential pardon from Trump. The album’s cover shows him standing before an American flag while wearing a green balaclava. It includes collaborations with Playboi Carti and Mellow Rackz and follows his 2024 project I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders.

To promote the new album, NBA YoungBoy is set to launch the 2025 MASA Tour (Make America Slime Again), beginning on September 2 in Dallas, Texas. The tour will span major U.S. cities including Houston, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Atlanta, and Detroit, before concluding on November 12 in Seattle.
