Veteran Nollywood actress, Shaffy Bello, has opened up about her past relationship with a younger man and shared her current views on love, dating, and marriage.
During a recent conversation on the Dear Ife series—shared via X on Saturday—Shaffy revealed that she often receives attention from both older and younger admirers, many of whom reach out to her through direct messages on social media.
“Men slide into my DM — over 50 and even younger men,” she said.
“It’s flattering, but the thing is, some of them are badly behaved. Some will tell me, ‘Hi, dear,’” she added, expressing disapproval over the approach of some suitors.
The actress admitted to previously dating a younger man but made it clear that she has moved on from that phase and isn’t looking to revisit it.
“There is no need for me to date a younger man. I have dated a younger man and don’t want to do it again. What I want now is different. When I dated a younger man, I was having fun. It was for a season, and the season is over, but there is nothing wrong with it,” she stated.
Now in a different phase of her life, Shaffy noted that she is open to the idea of marriage again, though her perspective on it has evolved.
“What I want now is marriage; I don’t mind marriage. But I have a different opinion when it comes to marriage. I think a lot of people are rigid when it comes to marriage,” she said.
Shaffy Bello, known for her elegance and bold presence on screen, is admired not only for her acting but also for how she has consistently embraced growth and change in her personal life.
