Top government officials are currently gathered at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja to welcome home Nigeria’s Super Falcons following their victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The dignitaries presents were seen in video shared via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
Among those present to receive the team were the Governors of Kaduna, Uba Sani, Governor of Kwara, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Imo State, Hope Uzodimma along with several federal ministers and sports dignitaries.
The Falcons clinched their 10th continental title over the weekend after defeating host nation Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses in a thrilling final held in Rabat, Morocco.
