Ray J is setting the record straight about his relationship with the late Whitney Houston — and the internet is buzzing.

In the latest episode of Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast released on July 25, the singer and entrepreneur got candid about his deep connection with the legendary vocalist, addressing longstanding rumors about her tragic passing.

“I used to hang out with her every f*g day,” Ray J revealed around the 43-minute mark of the YouTube interview, firmly denying viral claims that he was present when Houston died.

N****s are saying that I was in the room when she did — bro, that’s the biggest cap I ever heard… But when you know the truth, why do you have to jump out there and tell it to everybody?” he said, frustrated by the accusations that have haunted him online.

Ray clarified that he was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton on February 11, 2012, when Houston passed away — instead, he says he was in San Diego for a show. He also shared that they had plans to attend the Clive Davis pre-Grammy event together and were preparing to go public with their relationship.

Then really make the announcement that we were like — you know what I’m saying?” he added, confirming when asked that they were indeed romantically involved.
1,000%, bro — that was my peoples, bro.

Reflecting on her untimely death, Ray J emphasized that he never did drugs with Whitney and kept quiet when asked if he had ever seen her use them.

The emotional revelations have sparked mixed reactions online, but one thing is clear — Ray J is finally speaking his truth about his bond with one of music’s greatest icons.
