Award-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy lit up the stage with a thrilling performance during the England Lionesses’ UEFA Women’s Euros trophy parade on Tuesday.

The Lionesses clinched their second straight Euro 2025 title with a dramatic penalty shootout win over Spain in Sunday’s final.

The triumph sparked celebrations nationwide, ending in a lively parade where Burna Boy, who was introduced as the England coach Sarina Wiegman’s favourite artiste, surprised the crowd with a performance that thrilled both fans and players.

The Afrofusion star captivated the crowd with a live performance of his global hit ‘For My Hand’, which features British singer Ed Sheeran.

Cheers filled the air as the Grammy-winning star delivered an energetic performance, with England’s coach joining him on stage, dancing and singing along in a rare display of celebration.

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, rose to prominence with the release of Like to Party, the lead track from his 2013 debut album L.I.F.E.

Over the years, Burna Boy has built an impressive discography, releasing seven albums: L.I.F.E in 2013, On a Spaceship in 2015, Outside in 2018, African Giant in 2019, Twice As Tall in 2020, Love, Damini in 2022, and I Told Them in 2023.

The 34-year-old recently dropped his eighth studio album, titled No Sign of Weakness.

He is widely recognised as one of the “big three” in Afrobeats and stands among the most successful musical acts to emerge from Africa.

Burna Boy has earned numerous accolades throughout his career. In 2021, he won the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album with his critically acclaimed project Twice As Tall.
