A former member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Kazaure, has predicted a loss for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
The former lawmaker said as long as the election is free and fair, Tinubu would have lost at the polls by 12 noon on election day.
Naija News reports that Kazaure made the declaration in a viral video released by AIT on Wednesday, through the 𝕏 platform.
He also lamented Nigeria’s growing debt profile and the economic hardship Nigerians are facing.
“With a free and fair election, I can assure you by 12 noon he will have lost the 2027 election,” he said.
Meanwhile, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has responded to recent comments by the new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, that there would be “no vacancy in Aso Rock” come 2027.
In a statement to Naija News on Wednesday, the ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, described the remark as presumptuous and undemocratic.
He insisted that the Presidency of Nigeria is not a hereditary office, but a mandate that must be earned and renewed through performance and public trust.
According to the opposition party, the APC’s “no vacancy” statement betrays an arrogant mindset, that appears to overlook the right of Nigerian people to choose.
The ADC warned that the APC should guide against utterances that could further suggest that people’s votes would not count.
