Rapper Kevin Gates and his wife Dreka are officially ending their marriage after nearly 10 years.
According to TMZ, Dreka filed for divorce on Wednesday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
In the court documents, she listed July 10 as the date of separation and is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their two children, Islah (12) and Khaz (11).
She also requested spousal support but specified that none should be awarded to Kevin Gates.
It remains unclear whether the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place.
The filing arrives just months ahead of what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary. The couple made their last public appearance together at the 2023 BET Awards.
Kevin Gates and Dreka began their relationship around 2003 and tied the knot in October 2015. Despite a public image of unity — with Dreka actively involved in managing Gates’ career — speculation about their relationship began circulating in 2022.
Rumors of separation and infidelity gained momentum after a video surfaced showing Gates at dinner with influencer Brittany Renner, in which he casually referred to her as his “wife”.
Gates’ debut studio album Islah, named after his daughter, was released in January 2016 and peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart.
