Afrobeats star Jaywon has addressed claims that he’s taking sides in the ongoing rift between fellow artists Wizkid and Davido.
In a video shared on his TikTok page, the ‘This Year’ singer dismissed the notion that his closeness to Davido automatically puts him at odds with Wizkid, calling such assumptions unreasonable.
“So because I’m close to Davido, that has automatically made me an enemy of Wizkid? Please make it make sense. Make me understand this. I don’t get it,” he said.
Jaywon’s response highlights the increasing scrutiny artists face over their relationships amid tensions between two of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.
