Nigerian musician Jaywon has responded to persistent rumors over his relationship with Afrobeats artists Davido and Wizkid,
He insisted that his intimacy with Davido should not be construed as hostility toward Wizkid.
The “This Year” crooner called such presumptions “absurd” in a video posted on his TikTok channel, dismissing the notion that his connection to Davido implies he is against Wizkid.
In the video posted on social media, Jaywon made it clear that his friendship with one artiste does not equate to hostility for the other, as critics may believe in some quarters.

Jaywon said, “People love to create beef where there is none. I’m cool with Davido, yes. But that doesn’t automatically make me Wizkid’s enemy. I respect both of them for what they’ve contributed to the industry.”
He went on to express frustration at fans and blogs constantly fueling rivalries among artistes.
“It’s the fans that create these divisions. The industry is big enough for everyone. We’re all just trying to make good music and feed our families.”
