Afrobeats superstar Davido has unfollowed Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram following the circulation of alleged leaked WhatsApp messages in which she appeared to accuse the singer of insincere support for the late rapper Mohbad.
The messages, leaked by controversial internet personality VeryDarkMan, show Iyabo Ojo allegedly questioning Davido’s authenticity in advocating for justice after Mohbad’s tragic death in 2023.
In one of the alleged chats, she reportedly said:
“That means he was chasing clout. I am so disappointed, and to think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad. Just fake love 001.”
She also reportedly criticised him for continuing to follow Naira Marley — a key suspect in Mohbad’s case — despite claiming to support efforts to bring justice to the late artist.
While Davido has not officially commented, a quick check on Instagram confirmed that he has now unfollowed Iyabo Ojo, suggesting the move may be a direct reaction to the leaked conversation.

The drama has since ignited debate online, with fans divided between both public figures. While some have sided with Davido, others believe Iyabo Ojo was expressing genuine frustration over inconsistencies in celebrity advocacy for Mohbad.
Iyabo Ojo, known for her active involvement in seeking justice for Mohbad, is yet to address the leaked messages publicly.
