Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has revealed he plans to retire from music once every member of his hip-hop collective, Anti World Gangstars, achieves mainstream success.

The “Declan Rice” hitmaker made the statement via his X handle, writing: “Once all my nggas make it in music, I’m out.”*

The Anti World Gangstars consists of five rappers — Odumodublvck, Agunna, Fatboy E, Reeplay, and Shagba — as well as their producer/engineer Cross.

Odumodublvck, who shot to fame in 2023 with his breakout single “Declan Rice,” is currently the most successful member of the collective. He has since collaborated with Nigerian superstar Davido, and UK heavyweights Skepta and Stormzy.

Despite his rising fame and efforts to spotlight the group, his bandmates have remained largely underground, struggling to find the same commercial success.

In a recent interview, he described “Declan Rice” as “the most impactful Nigerian hip-hop song ever,” a bold claim that underscores the confidence he has in both his artistry and the vision for his crew.

For Odumodublvck, success isn’t complete until everyone in the circle wins — and when that happens, he’s ready to bow out gracefully.
