Famous social media activist VeryDarkMan has claimed that before singer Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley was the most dominant force in the Nigerian music scene, more influential than Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy altogether.
He made this claim in a recent video shared on Instagram on Sunday while discussing new evidence he uncovered related to Mohbad’s case.
“Lemme let the cat out of the bag so we will stop all this… for Mohbad matter, then you go come understand the context,” he said.

VeryDarkMan described the Marlian movement as so powerful that even when global stars like Davido or Wizkid appeared at the same events as Naira Marley, the crowd’s energy shifted completely.
“Marlians was so big that if Davido stand, and Naira Marley stand, people go dey shout Marlians… the guy pack ground around the globe and around the country. It was a problem.”
He went on to criticise the structure of the entertainment industry, describing it as a dark and toxic space driven by rivalry.
“The entertainment industry is so dark to the point wey be say they see each other as a competition,” he added.
