Veteran Nigerian filmmaker Kayode Peters has been laid to rest.
The respected director and producer was buried on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Toronto, Canada, more than a month after his passing.
Peters, aged 49, reportedly died on June 28 following a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness.

Before he was laid to rest, a night of tribute was held in his honour on July 29, with memorial events taking place in both Lagos and London.
A widely shared video online shows the emotional moment his body was lowered into the grave, surrounded by grieving family members, colleagues, and close friends.
His death has continued to draw heartfelt tributes from Nollywood stars and fans across the world.
