Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu welcomed Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo at the State House during the footballer’s visit to Nigeria.

The 27-year-old, born in London to Nigerian parents, was part of Chelsea’s squad that clinched the revamped FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

Adarabioyo is in Lagos to launch a grassroots football tournament aimed at nurturing young talent.

Despite representing England at youth international levels, the centre-back remains uncapped at the senior level and has been linked with a potential switch to Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The visit underscores Adarabioyo’s commitment to giving back to his ancestral homeland through sports development.
