TunesBid Sues Ayo Maff Over Alleged Contract Breach
Music label TunesBid has filed a lawsuit against fast-rising singer Ayo Maff over an alleged breach of their exclusive recording agreement.
In a statement posted on its official Instagram page, TunesBid accused Ayo Maff and his management team of violating the terms of a contract signed on December 3, 2023. According to the label, the deal was brokered with the involvement of the singer’s legal representatives—Oyefeso Oluwamayowa Olumide, Okolie Amobi Chiedu, and Oyefeso Ayotunde of OceansTreasure Limited.
TunesBid claims it fully funded the recording and promotion of Ayo Maff’s singles Street Anthem, Dealer, and 7 Days, and also secured a distribution deal with Empire Distribution.
However, the label now alleges that Ayo Maff and his team have been secretly engaging in deals outside the agreement, an act it described as dishonourable and fraudulent.
“The singer and his management teams had continued conniving to defraud Tunesbid by entering a dishonourable contract,” the statement reads.
The label further warned show promoters and entertainment companies to refrain from doing business with Ayo Maff or risk legal consequences, insisting that the singer is still contractually bound to TunesBid.
“The contract had a stipulated period agreed upon which includes the release of his three singles, all fully funded by Tunesbid Limited within the first seven months of the agreement,” the label said.
As of now, the singer and his team have yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
