
Liverpool on Friday appointed Simon Wiles as the club’s new U18s head coach.
The Premier League champions disclosed this in a statement via their website on Friday.
Wiles takes over from Marc Bridge-Wilkinson following a spell with Manchester United’s academy team.
The 40-year-old has extensive coaching experience in both youth and senior football.
Reacting to Wiles’ appointment, Liverpool’s Academy Director, Alex Inglethorpe, expressed his delight.
He told the club’s website: “Simon is a highly regarded young coach and I’m delighted he’s agreed to take a key role within the Academy as lead for the U18s group.”
