In a shocking revelation, Hon. Mohammad Kazaure, a former federal lawmaker, has accused President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of disregarding critical evidence he provided detailing the theft of over N100 trillion (equivalent to $113 billion at the time) during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Kazaure claimed he personally handed over a comprehensive document to Tinubu before his inauguration, implicating individuals who allegedly misappropriated the funds.

Kazaure, known for his outspoken stance against corruption, alleged that the investigation cost him his re-election bid in 2023, forcing him to flee the country to escape assassination attempts.

“I told Mr. President, this investigation nearly cost me my life. I escaped death twice and had to hide abroad when I should have been campaigning,” he said.

“I gave him the full document with all the names of those who stole and shared over N100 trillion among themselves.

I urged him to use it to recover our money and build the country without needing loans for the next eight years.”According to Kazaure, President Tinubu dismissed the evidence, metaphorically “throwing all the documents into the dustbin.”

He further alleged that the same individuals implicated in the fraud are now key figures in Tinubu’s administration, accusing the government of perpetuating corruption.

“Instead of acting on the evidence, he is applying for loans everywhere, when he knows those responsible for looting our treasury,” Kazaure stated.

The allegations have sparked widespread controversy, with opposition leaders and civil society groups calling for an independent probe into Kazaure’s claims.
